Amanda Lewis, Founder, CEO
Amanda Lewis founded Garden State Food Bank after volunteering with the South Jersey Food Bank and recognizing a lack of accessible food options for people experiencing homelessness. She created the organization to prioritize food for everyone including ready to eat meals for unhoused individuals who lack access to refrigeration or cooking facilities. As CEO, Amanda leads operations, coordinates donations, works directly with volunteers, and oversees food distribution with a hands-on and compassionate approach.
Elijah Lewis, Director of Operations
Elijah Lewis oversees the day to day operations of Garden State Food Bank. He works closely with partner stores, supports volunteer coordination, and helps ensure food distribution efforts run smoothly and efficiently. Known for his hands on approach, fairness, and dedication, John plays an essential role in supporting the organization’s mission and community impact.
Larry Hooker, Director of Logistics
Larry serves as Director of Logistics for Garden State Food Bank and is a key force behind the organization’s food distribution efforts. He manages food pickups, transportation coordination, unloading, and on-the-ground logistics to ensure food is delivered safely and efficiently.
Ben is known for his exceptional dedication often being the first to arrive and the last to leave. His contribution that reflects his deep commitment to the mission. He is highly respected for his strong work ethic, fairness, and advocacy for ensuring everyone served receives what they need with dignity.
